Nonfiction Documentary | Community Storytelling | Long-Form Video
Objective
Develop a longer-form community story that communicates the role, people, history, programs, or impact of Warren’s library system through documentary-style storytelling.
Audience
Residents, library patrons, families, city stakeholders, and community audiences.
My Role
Producer / Interviewer / Director
Communications Strategy + Campaign Planning
Structured the project around a central audience question: what should residents understand or feel about the library after watching? Organized subject matter and interviews around that narrative goal rather than simply documenting activities.
Writing + Message Development
Developed interview topics, questions, narrative structure, and supporting messaging designed to translate institutional information into a human-centered story.
Graphic + Visual Communications
Integrated visual storytelling, location imagery, supporting graphics, titles, and brand-conscious presentation to create a cohesive documentary experience.
Videography + Multimedia Production
Supported the complete documentary workflow from story development and interviews through production and post-production, combining real people, location footage, visual context, editing, and final delivery.
Impact
Provides a substantive example of long-form nonfiction storytelling and demonstrates the ability to transform community information into an accessible, emotionally engaging multimedia story.
